Your data, clearly explained

Privacy Policy

Effective August 24, 2026

The short version

BatchBite keeps your recipes, portion names, cooked batches, weights, nutrition values, corrections, and meal logs on your iPhone unless you deliberately share a batch. Cankola Builds does not require a BatchBite account, operate a nutrition-data server, sell personal information, or use advertising trackers. Apple and RevenueCat process information needed to sell and manage subscriptions.

Household sharing you control

When you choose Share with household, BatchBite creates a link containing the reviewed batch nutrition totals, cooked weight, batch name and date, named plate weights, and leftovers. It excludes ingredient and preparation notes, correction history, meal logs, targets, and broader nutrition history. Your chosen destination, such as Messages or Mail, handles the link under its own privacy terms. Cankola Builds does not receive or relay it through a BatchBite server. Anyone who receives the link may retain the included batch data, so share only with people you trust.

Information stored on your device

BatchBite stores the following in its private app container or system preferences:

  • recipe names, reviewed whole-batch nutrition totals, and correction notes you enter;
  • cooked batch weights and dates;
  • names you assign to portions;
  • portion weights, calculated nutrition, meal slots, and meal dates;
  • display targets, onboarding choices, selected plan preference, and app settings; and
  • local diagnostic events that identify app flows, such as a paywall view or restore result.

This content powers BatchBite’s calculation, history, setup, and display features. BatchBite does not transmit this nutrition or portion-name content to Cankola Builds. If device backup is enabled, Apple may include app-container data in a device backup according to your Apple and iCloud settings.

Subscription and transaction information

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. RevenueCat determines whether the pro entitlement is active, loads subscription products, processes purchase results, and restores purchases.

Apple and RevenueCat may process an app-scoped identifier; product identifiers; purchase, renewal, expiration, and transaction status; app and operating-system versions; device/platform information; IP address; and technical diagnostics needed to operate and protect their services. BatchBite does not receive your full payment-card number or Apple ID password.

Read Apple’s Privacy Policy and RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy for their practices.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

BatchBite 1.0 has no remote product-analytics service. Typed funnel events are written to Apple’s unified logging system on the device for diagnostics and are not sent to a BatchBite analytics server.

  • No third-party advertising is shown.
  • The advertising identifier is not accessed.
  • BatchBite does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
  • Cankola Builds does not sell or rent personal information or use nutrition information for advertising profiles.

Apple may provide aggregated App Store metrics. RevenueCat provides aggregated subscription and entitlement reporting.

Permissions and sensitive data

BatchBite 1.0 does not request HealthKit, camera, microphone, photo-library, location, contacts, Bluetooth, motion, or notification access. It is a nutrition logging and calculation aid, not a medical device. Do not send medical records or other sensitive health information in a support email.

Support communications

If you contact support, Cankola Builds receives your email address, message, and anything you choose to attach. That information is used to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and retain an appropriate support record. Do not include recipe or portion-name data unless it is necessary and you choose to share it. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.

Retention and deletion

  • Local content remains until you delete the relevant saved batch or log in BatchBite, or remove the app.
  • Running onboarding again does not delete saved batches, portions, or logs.
  • BatchBite 1.0 has no bulk-delete command. Removing the app removes its app container, subject to any Apple-managed device backup.
  • Deleting local content does not cancel a subscription or erase Apple’s transaction history.

Because Cankola Builds does not receive your local nutrition content, it generally cannot access, export, correct, or delete that content for you. Apple and RevenueCat retain subscription records under their own policies and legal obligations.

Legal bases and disclosures

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, local processing is necessary to provide requested features; subscription processing is necessary to perform the subscription agreement; support processing is necessary to respond to you; and limited operational records may be processed for security, reliability, and compliance. Support information may be disclosed if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or during a business reorganization subject to applicable safeguards.

Children and international processing

BatchBite is not directed to children under 13, and Cankola Builds does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Apple, RevenueCat, and support providers may process information in countries other than yours under the safeguards described in their policies.

Changes and contact

This policy may change as BatchBite changes. The effective date will be revised and notice provided when required. A material change will not retroactively turn local nutrition content into remotely collected data without updated product and privacy disclosures.
